First Thursday every Month

Come and experience every 1st Thursday an evening of art and culture in downtown Santa Barbara. Participating galleries and art-related venues offer free access to visual and performing art in a fun and social environment from 5-8pm.

Neighborhood Farmers Market

Enjoyed every Tuesday and Saturday by locals and tourists alike. Sample sweet dates and crisp apples as you stroll by an amazing selection of quality produce – you will often see our local chefs buying their fruit and vegetables.

Santa Barbara International Film Festival in February

This 10-day event has become one of the top California Film Festivals. Traditionally held just prior to the Oscars, it attracts a multitude of well-known actors, writers, and producers in attendance of special events as well as screenings of numerous US and international films.

Italian Street Painting Festival Memorial Weekend every May

Magnificent chalk drawings or the I-Madonnari presented on the steps of the historic Mission. If you’re in town, it is an event not to be missed.

Summer Solstice Celebration and Parade in June

Filled with artistic floats, drumming, dancing and the like, a celebration of life and renewal is at the core of this truly unforgettable jubilee. As spring comes to a close, there couldn’t be a more exciting way for friends, families, and couples to welcome in the new season!

Old Spanish Days Fiesta in August
