Top 3 Wineries on Santa Barbara’s Urban Wine Trail
Santa Barbara Winery
Santa Barbara Winery was the first to join The Urban Wine Trail. Established in 1962, it is one of the city’s oldest and most beloved wineries. You won’t go wrong with anything that you order here, but don’t miss out on the opportunity to try their Pinot Noir filled chocolates! The tasting room is open Sunday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Jaffurs Wine Cellar
Jaffurs Wine Cellar was the second winery to join Santa Barbara’s Urban Wine Trail. Owner, Craig Jaffurs, released his first commercial wine in 1994. Over two decades later, their Rhône varietal wines continue to set them apart from the competition. Wine tastings are $15 for five wines and include a logo glass. However, the tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles or more!
Whitcraft Winery
Whitcraft Winery is the third longest standing member of the Santa Barbara Urban Wine Trail. In addition to unique, handcrafted wines, you will also find signature varieties, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah. Be on the look our for their winery dog, Terra Whitcraft! She is famously one of the coolest dogs on the Santa Barbara shore! The tasting room is open Friday through Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday by appointment.
